The New York Giants fired coach Brian Daboll on Monday after yet another rough start in the Big Apple.

Daboll's struggles left him the odd man out with a failing Giants organization, and his successor will be tasked with salvaging one of the more underperforming NFL teams in recent memory.

However, the cupboard isn't bare for talent with the Giants, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. The team also has intriguing young players on offense to build around for the future. It's not a bad job!

We've identified five people who make sense, at least on paper, to be the next Giants head coach.

Seahawks OC Klint Kubiak

After torching defenses with Sam Darnold under center, Kubiak figures to be the hottest coaching candidate in this upcoming cycle. If he's intrigued by the trio of Jaxson Dart, Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo as his lead quarterback, wide receiver and running back, New York could be a great landing spot for him come winter.

Chargers DC Jesse Minter

Minter should follow in Mike Macdonald's footsteps as the next defensive coach from the Jim Harbaugh tree to land an NFL head coaching job. New York's ferocious defensive line alone could entice him to head up to the Big Apple.

Bills OC Joe Brady

Would the Giants hire yet another Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator? Brady, like Kubiak, should be a highly popular target for teams needing a head coach in the upcoming cycle. If Brady likes New York's setup, don't count him out.

Browns HC Kevin Stefanski

If Stefanski gets fired by the Cleveland Browns, he won't be out of a job for long. The two-time NFL Coach of the Year would fit like a glove for the Giants, and he could bring excellent defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz with him.

49ers DC Robert Saleh

Saleh did just coach one of the NFL New York teams, but his stellar work with the San Francisco 49ers this season as defensive coordinator could intrigue the other NFL New York team to see if he can right the G-Men ship.
