The tension in the Dallas Mavericks hit a different pitch this week, and it wasn’t coming from the locker room. The Mavericks walked into the 2025-26 season talking big, selling belief, and banking on a roster built to compete right now. Instead, they’ve stumbled out of the gate, with Mavs ownership growing deeply concerned over the rising negativity.
On November 10, The Hoop Collective lit the fuse. One of the reporters said there’s a very strong likelihood that Mavs GM Nico Harrison gets fired during the season. This comes one day after the Mavericks fell to 2-7, dead last in the West, according to reports as of Nov. 9.
