When Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Trey Yesavage took to the mound for the team throughout their 2025 postseason run, he might have been the most popular guy in the country.
The 22-year-old rookie phenom lit up Canada with his legendary performances throughout the playoffs, making five starts and one relief appearance (in Game 7 of the World Series).
This past weekend, though, he was simply a guy having fun in someone’s backyard.
Yesavage was the guest of honour at the homecoming weekend of East Carolina, where he played three seasons before being drafted by the Blue Jays in 2024.
His girlfriend, Taylor, shared a photo of the two of them at a pregame tailgate , where they easily could’ve been confused for any other student couple.
