Yet another business in the Des Moines metro has fallen victim to a vehicle crashing into its brick and mortar.
Employees at Pagliai's Pizza, 5312 Merle Hay Road in Johnston, were working the dinner service when a white pickup truck drove through the building on Nov. 9. No major injuries resulted from the collision, and one person was taken to the hospital as a precaution, according to Pagliai's Pizza's Facebook Page.
The driver of the truck was checked for injuries and taken to Polk County Jail, and was charged with an OWI, second degree and driving without insurance, according to a news release from the Johnston Police Department.
"We will be back to serving asap!" the post stated. "Thankful it wasn't any worse!"
When will Pagliai's Pizza reopen after a truck crashed into it?
