A sparring match between two bucks took a sharp turn early Sunday morning, sending the animals through a window and into the basement of a Douglas County home, according to first responders.
The deer were butting heads when they crashed into the basement gym in Roxborough Park at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, according to West Metro Fire Rescue.
“The startled homeowner called Colorado Parks and Wildlife, who sent two officers with a tranquilizer gun,” the agency wrote in a social media post . “But before they could put the two intruders to sleep, they called in West Metro Company 15 for some extra muscle.”
Firefighters used a tarp-like stretcher to carry the unconscious deer out of the home, West Metro officials said.
