The police chief in a western Massachusetts town was arrested last week in a local school parking lot for soliciting sex for a fee.
Michael Alibozek, 53, of Adams, the police chief in the town of Cheshire, was arrested at 9:45 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of Hoosac Valley Middle and High School in Cheshire, the Berkshire District Attorney's Office said.

Alibozek had allegedly been communicating online with an undercover state police detective leading up to his arrest.
Following the arrest, the district attorney's office said Alibozek was relieved of duty and placed on paid administrative leave by the town administrator and the chair of the town's selectboard , and his town-issued firearm and access to the po
