Melbourne-based Lucy Durack jumps at any opportunity to return home to Perth, especially when it involves celebrating “the greatest place in the world.”
And this year the acclaimed stage and screen star has had plenty of reasons to visit, including in June when she won her category at the 2025 Western Australian of the Year Awards.
Durack, known for star turns in theatre productions Wicked and Legally Blonde, was recognised for her contribution to the arts and her enduring connection to WA. That connection will see her return home later this month to perform on WA Day weekend, as part of cultural showcase OrchXstra.
The unique fusion of Perth Symphony Orchestra strings, DJ beats, bagpipes and didgeridoos will feature special performances from Durack and End of Fashion’s Justin Burford.
