Former Yankees manager Joe Girardi has a message for anyone associated with the 2017 Yankees team who feels cheated by the Astros’ cheating scandal — move on.
In an interview on Foul Territory last week, Girardi shared the message he gave to an unnamed player who was still bothered by the scandal.
“You’ve got to let that go,” Girardi said he texted the person in a clip shared on Instagram . “I’ve let that go. That’s in the past. Let it go. It is what it is.’”
Girardi, who managed the 2017 Yankees, talks about the ways players are relaying signs to hitters nowadays. He points to Aaron Judge at second base, extending his hands briefly to relay a sign to a batter last season.
The former manager believes teams just need to be better at protecting signs, like they used to when he played
