Manchester United have issued a fitness update on Casemiro following his withdrawal against Tottenham.

Casemiro started Man Utd’s final Premier League fixture before the international break as he partnered club captain Bruno Fernandes in the middle of the park.

While the 33-year-old was not able to find the net for a third game in a row, he delivered an assured performance as the visitors took the lead through Bryan Mbeumo’s first half header.

Casemiro’s afternoon, however, came to an end in the 72nd minute as he was replaced by Manuel Ugarte .

Without the Brazilian on the pitch, Man United would go on to concede twice before Matthijs de Ligt equalised in the 96th minute with a towering header to resuce a point and stretch their unbeaten run to five games .
