WILKES-BARRE, PA – A woman was hospitalized Sunday after leaping from a second-floor window to escape a violent domestic assault at a North Washington Street residence, prompting police to issue an arrest warrant for the alleged attacker.
The incident was reported at approximately 4:49 p.m., when officers responded to a local hospital where the 36-year-old woman was being treated for injuries. She told investigators the assault began earlier in the morning when the suspect, identified as 38-year-old Hector Castro of Wilkes-Barre, returned to their shared residence.
