Poland Chief of Police Greg Wilson put out a news release on Monday addressing recent results from a drug trafficking investigation, which included a high school student being charged, along with the seizure of firearms and narcotics.
The Poland Township Police Department (PTPD) executed a search warrant on Nov. 10 at the 2800 block of Saginaw Drive in Poland Township, resulting in the recovery of narcotics, multiple firearms and other evidence, the release states. The search took place around 10 a.m. with the assistance of the Mahoning Valley Law Enforcement Drug Task Force Unit and the Violent Crimes Task Force.
After the Saginaw Drive search resulted in further evidence of suspicion, the investigation moved to Struthers High School. At the school, a 17-year-old student was charged wit
