As the news of the Delhi blast and multiple casualties trickled in, several countries — including the US and the UK— moved to express condolences for the victims through their missions in the Capital and issued advisories for their citizens against travelling to the area.

“My thoughts are with all those affected by the explosion near the Red Fort in New Delhi ,” posted British High Commissioner Lindy Cameron, also pointing to an advisory to its citizens, saying, “If you are in the immediate area, please follow the advice of the local authorities.”
