The soup kitchen in Niagara Falls hopes residents will again help the charity support those in need across the community later this month.
Niagara Falls Community Outreach will host its annual Fill the Bus food drive Nov. 29 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Zehrs on Morrison Street.
The community tradition helps stock the shelves of the agency’s soup kitchen, where more than 300 to 350 hot, nutritious meals are prepared and served daily, seven days a week to families, seniors and people from all walks of life facing challenging times.
“The daily numbers at the kitchen have tripled in the last five years,” said Bonnie Brady, the soup kitchen’s fundraising chair.
