NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Tuesday, Nov. 11, is a day to honor all those across the country who have served or are actively serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Across Davidson County, there are several Veterans Day events to recognize our local heroes.

One of Nashville's biggest Veterans Day events is the annual parade through downtown. The Metro Nashville Police Department will begin closing the streets at 9:30 a.m. for the parade, which will begin at 11 a.m.

The route stretches down Broadway from 13th Avenue to 1st Street. The parade will feature military groups from across Middle Tennessee.
