Veterans Day, a holiday traditionally celebrated on Nov. 11, honors all those who have served in the military, dead or alive.
Most places like grocery stores and other retailers will still be open, while banks and other services are observing the federal holiday.
Here’s a look at what is open and what is closed in central Pennsylvania for the holiday on Tuesday.
Libraries – The Dauphin County Library System is open; Cumberland County and Amelia Givens are closed; Palmyra Area Library is closed; Middletown Public Library is open; Hershey Public Library is open.
Parking in Harrisburg – Free on Veterans Day.
Pa. Media Group – Open
PennDOT – Closed
CAT – Capital Area Transit will operate normally Nov. 10-11.
Liquor Stores – Open regular hours.
Banks – Most are closed.
