SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A man who was among nearly 90 people arrested in a mass raid at Jefferson Square Park was found not guilty by a jury of drug charges, according to the San Francisco Public Defender's Office.

Jefferson Square Park is also called "Zombie Park" by locals because of rampant public drug use.

KRON4 spoke with neighbors who said "Zombie Park" morphs, from a beloved spot for dog walkers during the day, to a frightening open-air drug market at night.

On February 26, San Francisco Police Department officers raided the park, made mass arrests, and seized more than a pound of illicit narcotics. Multiple agencies, including the National Guard and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), participated in the raid.
