BROOKSVILLE, Fla. (WFLA) — Two men are facing life sentences after a jury found them guilty of a murder-for-hire plot that ended in the shooting death of a 17-year-old girl, U.S. Attorney Greg Kehoe said.
The crime happened in February of 2023, when the teen, identified only as "I.S.," and her mother reported to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office that the girl had been sexually assaulted. The following day, Sheldon Robinson, then 20, came to their home and knocked on the door.
