CARROLL COUNTY, Mo - A Bucklin man involved in a rollover crash on Highway 10 in Carroll County is facing multiple charges.
According to a probable cause statement, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a reported accident just before 2 pm on Friday on Highway 10, just east of Miles Curve. Prior to the accident Carroll County Deputies had received a report of careless and imprudent driving.
The driver of the vehicle, 36-year-old Jeffrey A. Smith was uninjured and stated he fell asleep at the wheel. He claimed he had only consumed one milligram of Xanax the previous morning. However, during a sobriety test Smith admitted to having consumed marijuana that morning. A search of Smith also revealed a baggie containing four grams of methamphetamine.
