The giant American flag hung last week on the Hudson’s Detroit office building in downtown Detroit isn't there anymore — but could return before Thanksgiving.

“Bedrock raised The Flag at Hudson’s on Thursday, November 6 as a tribute to the largest American flag in the world that first appeared on the side of the J.L. Hudson Department Store in 1923,” Bedrock said in an emailed statement Monday. “The Flag, which spans 141 by 85 feet, was temporarily removed due to weather conditions and will be unfurled again, weather permitting, ahead of America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.”
