MISSOURI (KFVS) - Missouri families with infants and young children who are facing food insecurity can get some assistance amid the federal government shutdown.
According to Missouri’s Foundation for Child Abuse Prevention, on Friday, November 7, the Children’s Trust Fund (CTF) approved $400,000 in additional funding:
$100,000 will be donated to Feeding Missouri and will be distributed to six regional food banks in the state, specifically for infant formula and baby food.
$300,000 will be used by the Missouri Parenting Partnership Home Visiting Program, allowing agencies to purchase formula and food for the families they currently serve.
