The season's first snowstorm brought snow, ice and slippery road conditions to Cheboygan County.

Deputies from the Cheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, with assistance from Michigan State Police troopers, responded to 28 property damage and personal injury accidents in the county during the weekend storm.

Sheriff Todd Ross reminds motorists that winter driving requires extra caution and preparation.

“The first snow of the season always catches a few drivers off guard.
