Explosive materials were found among collectibles in the home of a retired railroad worker in Medway, Massachusetts, fire officials said Monday.
Local police and fire crews were called to the home after a potential hazard was reported. Authorities did not say where the home is located.

The Medway Fire Department said in a press release that "several commercial-grade explosive materials believed to be used in railroad operations" were discovered at the home.
The Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad removed the materials and destroyed them in a controlled detonation, fire officials said. The Massachusetts Fire Marshal's Office also responded to the home.
