BANGOR -- This December, you can dance away the holiday season with your community while also giving back.

Bangor's Professional Firefighters are throwing the annual Jingle Bell Ball to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. For six years, this has been the station's largest fund raising event, offering the opportunity to dress up and go out while contributing to an essential cause.

"Not only do the families get this sense of community, there's now a little bit more of a sense of hope as well that we're getting closer to families not having to fight this fight anymore," said Bangor Professional Firefighter and Muscular Dystrophy Association Committee Chair Jared Bowden.
