WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A veteran Waco police officer who retired five years ago following his arrest for assaulting a woman is back in jail after his arrest on allegations he improperly touched a girl younger than 6.

Heath Lee Mynar, 54, of Waco, a 20-year member of the Waco Police Department, remains jailed under $250,000 bond after his arrest Friday on an aggravated sexual assault of a child younger than 6 count.

A McLennan County Sheriff’s Office investigator wrote in an arrest affidavit that she arrested Mynar after the parents of the child reported the girl claimed Mynar touched her improperly Oct. 4 while on a walk and on her grandmother’s front porch.
