Missourians who receive benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program will likely see those payments by the middle of next week.
The state Department of Social Services said Friday that following updated guidance from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the state will begin issuing SNAP benefits for November.
DSS also said it will continue to comply with the directives and “work with its EBT vendor to ensure benefits are issued as quickly as possible.”
Initially, the U.S. Department of Agriculture planned to appeal the ruling that required the full funding of SNAP but changed course Friday saying it will begin fully funding the program. That means the money will trickle down to states.
