CINCINNATI, Ohio — Joe Burrow was back on the practice field on Monday for the first time since having surgery to repair a turf toe injury on his left foot in Week 2.
The Bengals opened Burrow’s 21-day window to return to action, and he practiced on a limited basis on Monday.
“I think he’s ready for this part of the recovery, you know, to come back on a limited basis and progress it, on the field with the players,” Bengals coach Zac Taylor told reporters at his Monday press conference. “So I think he’s in a good point. Internally, this was always a good timeline for us.”
Burrow suffered the injury on Sept. 14 against the Jaguars and had surgery five days later.
