CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A Winter Weather Advisory and freeze warnings were issued for multiple counties throughout the Carolinas on Monday night.

Temperatures in the mountains were expected to drop into the 20s late Monday night into Tuesday morning.
Though most of the snow will stay confined to the mountains, flurries will be possible Monday night outside of the mountains!
Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph will also be possible tonight into tomorrow morning, making it feel even colder across the area.
With a hard freeze expected across the region, a Freeze Warning is in place through Tuesday morning. Temperatures will bottom out in the teens in the mountains and the 20s outside of the mountains.
