SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A Shreveport resident said his home was hit by gunfire this past weekend, marking the second time in a year his house has been struck by bullets.

Steve Atkinson was watching KSLA’s interview with State Representative Joy Walters and decided to call about similar incidents in his neighborhood just off of Monkhouse Drive.

Atkinson said this past weekend, his home was hit by gunfire again. The first time was a year ago, and damage is visible in his bedrooms.

Atkinson said he sleeps in his living room with his protection nearby.
