WASHINGTON – The state has been dealing with delays in SNAP benefits, affecting approximately 250,000 households. Recently, a significant development emerged in the ongoing conversation.

Governor Bob Ferguson announced that individuals who received their SNAP benefits between November 1 and November 7 would get them fully funded. Washington was among 20 states that partially or completely funded these benefits.

However, on Saturday evening, the USDA issued a memo stating that the full payouts were unauthorized. The memo urged states to immediately reverse any actions related to the full benefits provided.
