Georgetown residents can honor veterans in the community in a number of ways Nov. 11. This list is noncomprehensive.
Additionally, a number of city and county services will be closed to mark the holiday.
Visit the 9th annual Field of Honor
A collaboration between the city of Georgetown and the Rotary Club of Georgetown Foundation, the display will include 2,000 American flags, which can be purchased and dedicated to a veteran, active or reserve-duty military, first responder, or K-9 or equestrian who served. The Veterans Day ceremony will take place Nov. 11 with keynote speaker Maj. Gen. Scott Efflandt and a cake-cutting ceremony.
