Dekota Houfek was the top finisher for Clark cross country at the NWAC Championships on Monday in Spokane Valley.
The freshman from Prairie High School placed 32nd, covering 8,000 meters in 28 minutes, 5.6 seconds. Houfek was Clark’s fastest runner all season and recorded a personal best of 27:09.9 on Oct. 18 at the Linfield George Oja Invitational.
Tate Armstrong placed 43rd in 28:34.1. Liam Deviney (29:08.1, 52nd), Evan Hollis (29:13.0, 55th) and Ben Carter (29:30.7, 57th) wrapped up the scorers for Clark, which placed seventh out of 11 teams.
