MAGA world melted down on Monday after revelations that Christine Pelosi, the daughter of Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), officially announced that she is running for the California State Senate.

Christine Pelosi had been rumored to run for the seat occupied by her mother for nearly 40 years after Nancy Pelosi revealed this month she will not seek re-election. Instead, Christine announced in a social media video that she would run to represent San Francisco in the state legislature.

“I’m running to represent San Francisco in Sacramento, fighting for consumer rights, women’s rights, gun violence survivors, immigrants and our most vulnerable communities, against the threat we face,” she said, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. “What do we do when our freedoms are under attack? We speak up, we fight back and we organize power for the people, and that’s what I want to do for you.”

The state legislature seat is currently held by state Sen. Scott Wiener, whose term expires in 2028, but who is among the names expected to run to succeed Nancy Pelosi in Congress next year.

MAGA fans fumed that another Pelosi is running for office.

"Ahh yes, another Pelosi is exactly what California needs," Red Wave Press chided on X.

Steve Hartkopf, who openly supports MAGA in his bio, wrote on X, "Momma got hers, now it's time for baby-girl to get paid."

Michael K. Bernstein wrote on X, "No PELOSI should never be allowed anywhere near our government EVER AGAIN !!!"

Lynette McElroy, who also touts "Make America Great Again" in her bio, wrote on X, "Enough with this family. They are liars and thieves. What more do you need to see to believe it ??"

Elizabeth Barcohana, a California GOP delegate, warned on X, "It can always get worse, California."
