Wintry weather has resulted in the shut down of part of Highway 402 in Lambton County on Monday evening.
OPP said in a media release that the eastbound lanes of the highway in Warwick Township are closed due to whiteouts, blowing snow and icy conditions.
The closure is in effect on the highway from Oil Heritage Road to Kerwood Road.
The OPP says the highway will remain closed for several hours to allow vehicles to be removed.
Earlier on Monday afternoon, OPP said there was a collision between two tractor trailers on Highway 402 near Nauvoo Road. No one was hurt.
The police service is urging people to avoid non essential travel until conditions get better.
