COLUMBUS — Filled with a schedule of opponents from larger divisions, the Ottawa Hills boys soccer team entered the postseason looking to reverse course after going 1-4-1 over its final six games.
The Green Bears accomplished that goal — and much more — by landing a berth in a state final for the fourth time.
On Monday at Historic Crew Stadium, one of the greatest runs in program history ended with a 5-1 loss to Cincinnati Summit Country Day in the Division V state championship game.
It marked the ninth state title for the Silver Knights, who finished 12-6-6 overall and won their second consecutive title.
