IOWA FALLS, Iowa —
Three people were found dead and one person injured after a shooting early Sunday inside a home on the north side of Iowa Falls, police said.
The 911 call to Hardin County dispatch came at 3:58 a.m. from inside the residence, reporting unresponsive people.
“We dispatched all emergency personnel, thinking maybe [it] is carbon monoxide poisoning or some situation like that,” said Josh Nelson, Iowa Falls Police Chief.
Responders quickly determined the case involved gunfire. “We got multiple people here with gunshot wounds,” an officer said over radio traffic.
Iowa Falls police said the 911 call was made by the person who was injured and survived.
