The Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union’s (TVFCU) annual golf tournament brought together 167 golfers at Council Fire Golf Club on September 30, raising nearly $70,000 to support education across the Tennessee Valley.
Proceeds provide direct support, such as educational programs, mentorship, and scholarships, to students and educators through organizations like STARS and Junior Achievement chapters in Chattanooga, the Ocoee Region, and Northwest Georgia. For the first time, a portion of funds also supported the Karen Glenn Scholarship Fund, honoring the late STARS director’s work in promoting safe and supportive school environments.
“By participating in our tournament, golfers are making an impact on our local students,” said Tammy Zumbrun, Director of Marketing and Community Engagemen
