SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — Several workers say they’ve been left scrambling after money was unexpectedly pulled from their bank accounts following a payment glitch with Qwick Gigpro , a popular app that connects temporary workers with same-day job opportunities.
The issue began on Nov.4, when Qwick Gigpro’s payment processor, Stripe , experienced what the company described as an “outage” that affected balance displays, payments, and, in some cases, triggered unauthorized withdrawals from users’ bank accounts.
For LaTiesha Baker, a Valley worker who uses the app to pick up extra shifts, the glitch had a devastating effect.
