Two children and an adult have died after a car collided with a truck at a rural intersection in Victoria’s southwest at 9.30am on Tuesday.
A second adult who was trapped in the same car after it rolled and was crushed has been airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The truck driver has been left with minor injuries.
Details remain limited, but police have cordoned off the scene of the crash - the intersection of Eurambeen-Streatham and Mount William roads in the rural locality of Stoneleigh, southwest of Ballarat.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are on their way to the scene.
The road toll is now 251, up from 240 this time last year, including 18 children, up by six from this time last year.
