MCLEAN COUNTY ( 25News Now ) - A rural McLean County man accused of threatening to shoot an area school superintendent and others is being released from jail before trial.

Jackwin Alverzios, 56, faces a pair of felony charges alleging he threatened to get a gun and start shooting people, and that he would send someone to the home of Ridgeview Superintendent Erik Young to “take care of him.”

Ridgeview Community School District #19 is in Colfax.

Monday, McLean County Associate Judge Scott Black denied the prosecution’s motion to keep Alverzios in jail, but the judge set several conditions for the suspect’s release.

The conditions include wearing an electronic monitoring device and home confinement, according to records at the circuit clerk’s office.
