GIRARD & LIBERTY Sixty students in Girard and Liberty received winter jackets on Monday.
According to a news release, the Girard-Liberty Rotary donated the jackets through the Rotary Project Warm program, an initiative that the group has been a part of for four years.
"We are honored to continue this important tradition of giving. No child should ever be cold," said Kathy Blackstone, Co-President of the Girard-Liberty Rotary.
Thirty coats went to students of Girard Intermediate School on Monday morning, while another 30 were delivered to students at Liberty PK-6.
The Rotary Project Warm program aims to provide children in the community have warm clothing to get them through the winter months.
