GREENVILLE, S.C. —
The city of Greenville will be unveiling a towering symbol of honor, hope and peace at Unity Park on Friday.
Starting this week, visitors will be able to climb 176 steps to the top of the Thomas and Vivian A. Wong Honor Tower for a breathtaking view of Unity Park, Paris Mountain and the Greenville skyline. The structure sits at 10 stories tall, or around 125 feet, and can be lit from within.
The tower will be visible over the skyline and in downtown and other parts of the city.
The tower is dedicated to those who serve in roles of public service, including members of the Armed Forces, fire, police, utilities and public works, emergency medical services, medical services and public health. Six corresponding columns can be seen spiraling around the structure, supportin
