A medical report from the Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office released Monday determined Ace Frehley, one of the founding members of the legendary rock band Kiss, died from a head injury during a fall.

The report signed by Deputy Morris County Medical Examiner Frederick J. DiCarlo identified Frehley’s cause of death to be “blunt force injuries to the head due to a fall.”

The manner of death was determined to be an accident, according to the report. DiCarlo’s report identified bruising on Frehley’s left abdomen and thigh area as well as on his right hip and upper thigh, the report says.

Frehely also suffered facial fractures near the eyes and left ear, according to the report.
