The 2026 Genesis GV80 range has landed in Australia, headlined by the return of a cheaper four-cylinder engine option as well as the arrival of the new 'Black' flagship and some tech upgrades.

Available to order now, the MY26 GV80 SUV reintroduces the 2.5 T-GDi turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine as the new entry point, also seeing the base price slashed by $10,000 compared to MY25 to $120,000 plus on-road costs.

The returning base engine is offered only with all-wheel drive, though previously in Australia it was also offered with rear-wheel drive.

The GV80 2.5T gets the same 'Signature' specification as the existing 3.5T twin-turbo V6 models, though the four-pot quotes outputs of 224kW/422Nm compared to the 3.5T's 279kW/530Nm.
