A West Australian man has described the horrifying moment he was thrown into the air during a shark attack off the coast of Prevelly, near Margaret River
Experienced surfer Andy McDonald said the incident unfolded in seconds while he was riding with a group of friends at a popular surf break known as Boat Ramps on Monday.
“I was actually on a wing foil board — it’s like a surfboard with a foil and handheld sail and we were riding the waves, sort of surfing style,” he said while speaking on Mix94.5’s Pete & Kymba with Ben Cousins for Breakfast.
Conditions had calmed and the wind began to ease when Mr McDonald, who had been using a small foil, dropped down to the waters surface.
