Green Bay Packers defensive end Micah Parsons honored former Dallas Cowboys teammate Marshawn Kneeland before Monday night’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Kneeland, who passed away last week, is reported to have taken his own life, with police having relayed that the former Western Michigan star was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound after leading troopers on a car chase.

Parsons played with Kneeland during the latter’s rookie season in Dallas before moving to Green Bay via a trade. The All-Pro shared an emotional social media post after news of his death broke last Thursday.

On Monday, he honored the 24-year-old by placing his helmet on the field and kneeling next to it during the moment of silence, which has been held in stadiums across the NFL.
