The Delhi Police have filed a case under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act in connection with the car blast near the Red Fort metro station on Monday, which killed eight persons, ANI reported.
The police have also invoked sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Explosives Act in the case, Deputy Commissioner of Police Raja Banthia said.
Teams from the National Security Guard, the Delhi Police and the forensic science laboratory are carrying out investigations at the spot, the official was quoted as saying by ANI.
“There are some body parts in the car [in which the blast took place],” Banthia said. “The FSL team is collecting them; so let's see how it connects.”
