BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man is facing charges for a deadly hit and run.
Erie County DA Michael Keane announced Monday that 44-year-old Wendell Brooks, of Buffalo, is facing multiple charges, including Manslaughter, in connection to a fatal hit and run in Buffalo's Lovejoy District.

According to the DA, on July 17, 2025, Brooks was allegedly driving in a Tesla Cybertruck on William Street in Buffalo when he struck a pedestrian at the intersection of William and Benzinger Street. Brooks then allegedly left the scene of the accident without reporting it to the police.
The victim, 37-year-old Paache Spikes-Redding, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities further allege that Brooks knowingly suppressed evidence
