NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Several Lowcountry municipalities will pay tribute to veterans on Tuesday, and the City of North Charleston is set to host its own salute.
The city will celebrate the bravery and sacrifices of those in the United States Armed Forces this Veterans Day at its 23rd annual tribute.
Mayor Reggie Burgess, the City Council, and community members will come together to pay tribute to our nation's heroes from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center.
In recognition of Veterans Day, North Charleston trash collection and Dorchester County recycling pickup will each shift by one day for the remainder of the week.
City offices will also be closed in observance of the holiday.
