A pedestrian has died after being hit by the driver of a transport truck on Highway 401 in North York on Sunday evening.

The collision occurred around 6:45 p.m. along the westbound express lanes at the Keele Street overpass , according to the OPP.

The 30-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the transport truck did not stay at the scene after the collision, according to the OPP, and police are requesting the public’s help in finding the driver.

All westbound lanes on Highway 401 at Keele Street were previously closed due to the investigation but have since reopened.
