COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - The College Station Police Department announced that retired Lt. Michael R. Matthews has died.

The department said Matthews passed away peacefully on Monday. He served the city for 30 years from 1976 until 2006.

No services have been announced at this time.
